Another server
I got another server yesterday, this one seems to be working, so that’s good. The only problem I have with it is it doesn’t get an internet connection. I connected it to a hub and directly to the cable modem and it just times out. It has to be something in the OS somewhere, as that’s the only software I’ve installed on it. There were five connections on it but I took out the two dual-port NICs and disabled the on-board network port, put in another card and installed it just fine but it still doesn’t seem to want to connect. I’m going to try a few more things before I put XP on it and see if it grabs an IP that way. I went to bed way too late last night trying to mess with it and now I’m incredibly tired, good thing there’s coffee. I’m back to work, vacation is finally over. I had a good vacation, got lots of rest and spent a lot of time with Jessica, which is what I needed more than the rest. We only went to Amarillo that one day, but I was still working nights and she was working. So really it was only a half vacation, which is cool because I got to rest. I am going to sleep a lot on Saturday. I was supposed to be off but I picked up some extra hours at another Hollywood, but I don’t go in until 5, so I can at least get a good amount of sleep in. Jessica and I also finished our Christmas shopping, which is awesome. When you set a limit on how much you spend on someone, shopping is a lot easier. The website will finally be up, once this server issue is sorted out, shouldn’t be too long now. It’ll probbaly end with me calling my ISP and having to upgrade my service to a business account or home networking so I can have access to more IP addresses so I can have multiple devices setup. But it’s weird that it wouldn’t connect when it was the only device connected to the modem, oh well. I’ll get that thing running eventually. Anyway, I’m going to get back to work. PIECE!!!!!
